Cairo Marriott Hotel & Casino is built around a Royal Palace by the Nile - on Gezira Island in downtown Cairo. This magnificent royal palace was built with no expenses spared on the orders of Khedive Ismail, for the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.
To the palace there are built two towers offering the finest of modern accommodation in 1250 luxury rooms, including executive and corporate suites - in addition to seven presidential suites. All rooms with voice mail and data port.
The large garden of the hotel makes Cairo Marriott a true oasis in the heart of Cairo. Of restaurants and lounges the hotel got the Grill Gezira which give elegant dining in palatial surroundings, and Omars Cafe give 24 hours dining with continental and oriental menu.
The Garden Promenade Cafe is a famous meeting place in Cairo that serves drinks and light meals in a beautiful garden terrace setting. Empress Show Lounge got a very good dinner menu while Harry's Pub is one of the most popular pubs in Cairo - and for the more gambling guests, the Omar Khayyam Casino is the place. More could have been mentioned, but let's add the Marina with seafood dishes by the Nile and the luxurious Nile Maxim dinner cruise ship.
With its central location, its setting and wonderful palace areas - Marriott is equally perfect for leisure stay in Cairo or business.
