Mena Cairo House Oberoi Hotel is built around the hunting palace of Ismaiil Khedive and has the closest location to the grand Pyramids of Giza among all hotels.
Originally opened in 1869 in a large jasmine scented garden. After the palace became hotel, a large swimming pool area where built with beautiful rooms in the grand garden. Mena House can today boost with 572 rooms and suites. All rooms of course fully air-conditioned, color and closed circuit television, min-bar, direct-dial telephone, beautifully marbled bathroom with shower and king-size tubs.
The hotel have as suite names as "Churchill" and "Montgomery" indicates, been a historic meeting place for important conferences and personalities through its long history. You find large beautiful corridors, arabesque furniture's inlaid with mother of pearl, hand-crafted mosaic tiles, carved brass-bound doors - short, its history come alive.
The Al Rubayat Restaurant, which serves continental cuisine, is pierced with arabesque arches and mushrabia screens lit by antique Islamic lamps.
For Indian cuisine the beautiful Moghul Room is the place and Khan El Kalili offers Egyptian and continental specialties 24-hours-a-day. Cocktails in the Sultan Bar give you its magnificent panoramic view of the pyramids, try and aperitif in the Mameluke Bar or the night in the Abu Nawas nightclub. In summer time the exciting outdoor Oasis Club is perfect. The Saddle Discotheque give you dancing in style, but first of all Mena House Hotel is a romantic hotel where one should stroll through lovely moonlight gardens with the Great Pyramid silhouetted close by.
The Banquet & Conference Center offers the ideal place for meeting / conferences - or a wedding one never will forget. Facilities for up to 1000 people.
